Duties & Responsibilites :	Local Candidate Only -Client is seeking a Java developer to help build a framework to facilitate cohort discovery across institutions. -The software should address harmonization and facilitation of project start-up, identification and engagement of data providers and discovery, integration, and analysis of data. -The qualified candidate will help with the building of a web application and deployment of necessary software pieces including databases and associated tools and frameworks. Qualifications: • 4+ years experience in Java-based software development, deployment and/or administration including core Java, HTML, CSS, XML, SOA, MDA, inter-application communication protocols, systems design and software integration, and database development required • 4+ years experience in database design, development and configuration • 2+ years experience in in user interface and web application development, Groovy, Grails, _javascript_, JSON, AJAX, Java-based web frameworks, Google Web Toolkit (GWT), jQuery and debugging and performance tuning of web applications • 2+ years experience in design of user interface mockups; rapid prototyping of web designs; • 3+ years experience in agile software development methodology • i2b2/shrine experience preferred INTERVIEW PROCESS: In Person
