*Position : System Admin (Network & Linux)* *Location: Kansas City , MO* *Duration: 6+ Months Phone & Skype* *Description* The *System Administrator *will join a team of *network and systems administrators* who work both independently and as a team, and report to the Manager of Technical Support. Their primary focus will be project work related to Disaster Recovery and High Availability solutions. *Below are the responsibilities of the System Administrator:* - Maintenance and Administration of Linux and Windows servers - Installation and configuration of various server operating systems - Assist in the implementation of solutions that increase uptime and redundancy for enterprise systems and applications - Implementing small projects for software and hardware infrastructure - Some administration of LAN and network devices - Create documentation for audiences of varying technical understanding - Other related duties as they arise *We are looking for the following in the ideal candidate:* - *Some work experience administering Linux servers* (Red Hat Linux experience is a plus) - *2+ year of experience in computer and user management with* *Windows Active Directory* - Enterprise server hardware knowledge required - *Server virtualization experience required* - Experience with clustering and other highly available technologies is preferred - Demonstrated SAN/NAS experience is required, iSCSI preferred - Some experience with switch infrastructure, Cisco preferred.
