| Duties & Responsibilites : | -Develop and execute software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes.
-This position will be responsible for testing of RESTful webservices against service requirements derived from business and functional requirements.
-The candidate should have some level of experience with HTTP protocols, XML, WADL/WSDL, and schema validation.
Education/Experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field required
- 3+ years experience
Responsibility level
- Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor
Skills Required:
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, and interpersonal skills (Required)
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required)
- Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback (Required)
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology (Required)
- Knowledge of computer development software life cycle technologies and processes (Required)
- Knowledge of webservice technologies and tools (Required)
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review Business, Functional and Service Requirements, Placement of Function and API designs and provide feedback
- Design test plans, scenarios, scripts and procedures focused on positive and negative scenarios
- Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
- Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, or content
- Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
- Create or maintain databases of known test defects
- Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
- Communicate status and escalate risks as necessary
