| Duties & Responsibilites : | 508 Analyst/Consultant
Perform test planning, preparation and execution for application that includes the development of a test plan, test cases, and test scripts. Also, automated scripts may be required during various testing phases.
Duties will include:
-Conduct Accessibility compliance testing of web sites, software applications, and documents using the WCAG 2.0 guidelines and Section 508 technical accessibility standards
-Conduct Accessibility compliance testing of web sites, software applications, and documents using the WCAG 2.0 guidelines and Section 508 technical accessibility standards
-Provide technical assistance and remediation guidance to developers
-Interpret and apply the WCAG 2.0 guidelines and Section 508 technical standards to a wide variety of environments and applications to ensure compliance
-Document testing methodologies
-Write accessibility compliance reports which delineate an application’s compliance with the appropriate set of technical standards
-Tackle challenging, novel situations and work to make sure the Accessibility team is able to respond to and leads in emergent accessibility topics
-Responsible for delivering accessibility training and seminars as needed
Skills Required: MUST HAVE ALL REQUIRED SKILLS TO BE CONSIDERED
-JAWS
-In-depth and extensive knowledge in accessibility experience of software, web, and documents
-Skilled at preparing testing reports
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-A rack record with hands-on accessibility testing of complex software interface layouts
-Experience in the use of testing instruments, such as screen reader software (JAWS), screen magnification software, voice recognition software, etc.
-Experience with Microsoft and PDF document accessibility testing and remediation
-Well versed with WCAG 2.0 technical techniques and guidelines
-Well versed UI design principles
