JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the project sponsor to document the product / project's vision and the project scope.
- Works with internal and external resources to define business requirements and coordinate system enhancements
- Identify project stakeholders and user classes. Document user class characteristics.
- Identify appropriate representatives for each user class and negotiate their responsibilities.
- Elicit and document requirements using various applicable tools and methodologies.
- Write clear and unambiguous requirements specifications according to standard templates.
- Decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements and quality requirements, specified in an appropriate level of detail suitable for - use by those must base their work on the requirements.
- Define quality attributes, external interfaces, constraints, system  technical requirements, and other nonfunctional requirements.
- Lead requirements analysis (JAD Sessions) and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, feasible, traceable, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standards.
- Participate in requirements prioritization through collaboration with the business sponsors.
- Participate in peer reviews and inspections of requirements documents and of work products derived from requirements specifications to ensure that the requirements were interpreted correctly.
- Manipulate requirements stored in the IT standard requirements management tool.
- Manage requirements traceability information and track requirements status throughout the project.
- Manage changes to baselined requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools.
- Effectively utilize the AAP's standard requirements process.
- Ensure requirements are in line with the business's vision and the solution meets the requirements.
- Mentor business partners and IT team in requirements processes
- Maintain a working knowledge of the business area
- Performs post-implementation testing, monitoring, and reporting to ensure functionality.
- Provides business process support and subject matter expertise to various levels within the association by gathering, reviewing and editing requirements, specifications, business processes and providing recommendations for proposed solutions
- Assesses business value and contributes to development of business cases for new projects
- Define and model AS-IS and TO-BE business processes to conduct gap analysis
- Define and model solution information is the form of a logical ERD and data and data relationship definitions.

Qualifications:
-
Experience writing high level business requirements definition (BRD/BRS) documentation
- Familiarity with phases and deliverables associated with systems development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, both upstream and downstream from requirements
- Solid interviewing and analysis skills, relationship management skills, and facilitating requirements
- Subject Matter expert in the Retail Business Area
- Knowledge of process analysis and documentation, logical data modeling and requirements gathering methods
- Strong understanding of the software development and implementation lifecycle
- Possesses the ability to create and translate business/process specifications into business rules
- Understanding of and experience with contemporary analysis and system development methodologies and techniques (Use Cases, process modeling, data modeling, UML Agile etc.)
- Knowledge of how to anticipate user needs and perform requirements analysis based on executive direction and prioritization
- Document management and project tracing using Microsoft SharePoint
