| Duties & Responsibilites : | - IT PM should have biotech Pharma experience. Thus, validation is important and should be in scope of their experience
- IT PM should have experience managing project and initiatives, i.e. actual project management is a must in previous experience and not only on paper in resumes. The latter becomes very apparent in interviews-actual experience vs statements in resumes
- Timelines/schedules, scope/risk management should also be relevant in PM candidates experience
- IT PM candidates should be hands on, i.e. IT PMs and not just PMO PMs. They should be knowledgeable of validation and project management deliverables, the difference and the involvements
- IT PM candidates should be team oriented and possess the right attitude and personality for team management and flexible for process changes and or adoption of new processes
- Plan and set direction for multiple concurrent projects of varying size or a large (enterprise/cornerstone) project that supports several businesses and/or functions.
- Responsible for the quality and delivery of systems and or service commitments on schedule, using assigned internal/external resources and following standards.
- Manage/lead all phases beginning to end of the project.
- Assist clients in identifying, understanding and responding to opportunities for cost-effective innovation and adherence to corporate policies. - - -- - Manage activities of all internal/external resources on projects or service deliverables.
- May be accountable for one or more business systems, technologies and/or vendors.
- May be responsible for a small number of direct reports. Accountable for large (cornerstone/enterprise) or several varying size projects, demonstrate solid technical knowledge, demonstrate strong business knowledge, require limited direction, give significant direction, handle highly complex problems, possesses extensive knowledge of project development processes and/or SDLC, have strong communication and interpersonal skill
- Manage/lead entire project or service including technical solution, implementation, support and quality. Understand and direct/participate in all phases of project implementation on multiple large projects.
- Prioritize work and schedules.
- Review project team deliverables to ensure quality (design walk-through, test results, etc.) and adherence standards/regulatory requirements.
-Interact with customers to understand their business and to anticipate IT solutions based on business and technical knowledge. Manage the customer relationship with business project sponsor.
- Responsible for capital and expense project budget. Assist the business in capital and expense planning for IT projects as well.
- Provide direct supervision and mentoring of project team member’s during the project. Provide project performance feedback to the team member’s supervisor/manager
- Participate in the research, analysis, selection, and implementation of new tools, technologies and/or services. 8)Participate in setting direction and standards for the portfolio or group.
Qualifications:
- In generality as a specific role may require experience in a specific business function or experience with specific software tools or packages those skills would be specified.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed above satisfactorily and demonstrated in prior work experience. Expert in project management/processes and/or SDLC.
- Strong business acumen. Solid presentation skills, oral and written communication skills and teamwork skills.
- Strong influencing skills. Proven track record on delivering large scale projects.
- Prudent risk taker. Leadership and budget experience.
- Project Management Certification preferred.
- Demonstrated history of successful project delivery Include the education and experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred or relevant work experience.
- 10-15 years of systems experience including 3+ years of project leadership. Essential Duties and Responsibilities.
