Client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage technology projects in a healthcare environment.
Health care background project experience is essential and will receive first consideration.
As the project liaison and single point of contact, the Project Manager will:
• Plan, direct, coordinate and manage the deployment of medium and large projects to ensure that goals and objectives are met, within the established time frames and budget, and hospital requirements; utilizing the HCIS PMO Project Management methodology, processes, and procedures.
• Prepare project status reports and resource management, conducting/facilitating project meetings and ensuring the project progress on schedule, addressing any constraints and resolving problems in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with a range of stakeholders including staff level employees, department level leadership, hospital administration, medical & clinical staff, division leadership and technical users to analyze project requirements & needs, develop implementation strategies and provide guidance and oversight throughout the project management life cycle.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 (minimum) years of project management experience, implementing medium to large size technology projects in a healthcare environment
• Demonstrated ability to work independently utilizing established Project Management methodology, processes, procedures, tools and techniques
• Experience leading teams and people to successfully implement change
• Demonstrated strong project management, organizational and facilitation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with all levels of management and project team members.
• Knowledge of PMBOK (Project Management Book of Knowledge) or similar project management standards
• Proficient in Project Management tools such as MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, MS SharePoint, MS Visio and MS PowerPoint
• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), Prince2, AIPM Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM) or similar certification
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
-Project management experience, implementing medium to large size technology projects in a healthcare environment Required 5 Years
-PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), Prince2, AIPM Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM) or similar certification Highly desired 5 Years
-Plan, direct, coordinate and manage the deployment of medium and large projects Required 5 Years
experience or background managing projects in a medical setting Required 5 Years
-Ability to utilize the HCIS PMO Project Management methodology, processes and procedures Required 5 Years
