I appreciate & will be thankful for your support with few references from your network who are looking for a job *Senior SAP Business Objects Analyst/Consultant * *Location : Irvine, CA* *6-12+ Months* *Local candidates are preferred* *Job Description :* Our client has an immediate need for (2) Senior SAP Business Objects Consultant’s with Dashboard and Reporting development experience for a 5 to 6 month contact assignment with option to extend in the Irvine Metro area. This position will be 60% focused on business analysis and 40% technical with SAP BO. The successful candidate needs to have solid report Webi and UI/UX development experience. The reports are moderate to complex and the candidates need to have a savvy design eye – visually. The candidate must have SAP BOBJ 4.1 Development expertise with Webi, Crystal Reports, Infospace, Xcelsius Dashboard and medium to advanced proficiency with designing and creating BO Universes with advanced MS SQL Server skills. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and able to work well within a collaborative and team oriented environment. The ideal candidate should be approachable, patient and possess a high level of integrity and exceptional people oriented skills. The candidate needs to have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization. The candidate will be responsible to work on a variety of new development and ongoing projects within the company. *Responsibilities:* · This person will be responsible for supporting a fast growing platform in the client's technology landscape for Business Intelligence utilizing SAP Business Objects or Tableau for reporting analytics and visualization. · Responsibilities will include gathering and translating business requirements into technical design, report development, system testing, and documentation. Strong experience is preferred for conducting dashboard visualization design workshops and developing highly visual, interactive, and layered dashboards. · This role will develop dashboards, reports, and scorecards in a SAP Business Objects BI 4.0 or Tableau environment. Experience developing with Microsoft SQL Server 2008+ or SAP BW 7.4 queries is strongly preferred. · This role will participate in internal system release testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to facilitate effective and organized issue resolution. This includes training of UAT team on the application and/or process change, and management of all phases of testing for the team’s supported applications. · The candidate should have experience in recommending the appropriate data visualization and functionality to meet business needs. The BI Front End Developer should also have strong experience how to manage data sources to refresh the Dashboard. · Understand business process maps, system diagrams, logical data models, business requirements, gap analysis, report specifications and other documentation as required for project analysis, planning and design. · Design test plans, including definition of test cases and the creation of detailed solution test scripts. Work with other teams and vendors to explore methods for automation of testing. · Keep a high level of communication with management on daily activities and escalate issues to management in an efficient and constructive fashion. *Minimum Qualifications:* · Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and working 5+ years of solid experience working in the Information Technology / Information Systems industry · 4+ years of solid hands-on experience with SAP BI BusinessObjects (BOBJ) or Tableau development. Experience should include Dashboard Design development, SQL Queries, data analysis, report development, and understanding data models. · Production support experience working with business users on SAP BusinessObjects BI and Tableau issues or enhancements · Strong critical thinking skills, including system and business analysis, problem analysis and resolution. · Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a customer service attitude. · Must be extremely well organized and thorough.
