Job Description
Typical Background/Skills/Experience:
• Project Management experience with deploying enterprise indoor / outdoor
Radio and Cellular technologies, Wi-Fi infrastructure such as Access
Points, PoE Switches, and Controllers.
• 5+ years’ experience in Wi-Fi Infrastructure and/or IT Operations project
management
• PMP a plus, not a requirement although evidence of working with formal PM
methodologies is required. ITIL also a plus.
• Knowledge with different type of telephone systems/technologies is such
as Nortel and Avaya is preferred.
Must be reliable and have ability to work as part of a team
Contractor shall provide a consultant to provide the following services:
(Please give detailed services description as in a Scope of Work; 150 words
minimum)
Project management with an emphasis on Wi-Fi project and cellular
technologies as well as experience and a proven track record of successful
indoor / outdoor Wi-Fi project implementation.
Project management of multiple large scale projects concurrently and at
least broad familiarity with the technologies involved. Perform all
essential Project Management functions: project leadership, communication,
scoping, manage project spending, timeline, risk mitigation, overall
execution and change management elements to ensure successful project
delivery.
The Project Manager will be responsible for all phases of the project from
Initiation to Planning to Execution to Closing. PMBOK or similar project
management methodologies are preferred. Candidate must have strong
documentation skills .
Project Management, Business Analysis, Change and Release Management
experience is also required
Excellent customer interaction and communication skills are a must, as is
the ability to work with teams comprised of ISD and other County staff,
vendors and contractors.
