Telephony Project Manager
*Skills & Experience *
• 5+ years’ experience in Telephony Infrastructure and/or IT Operations
project management
• PMP a plus, not a requirement although evidence of working with formal PM
methodologies is required. ITIL also a plus.
*Job Description *
As part of the Countywide Voice System Replacement (includes Avaya
RWC/SMMC) Program.
Multiple telephony focused projects are awaiting project management to be
in place prior to their start which includes the following sub-projects:
450 Maple Street Correctional health (Sheriffs’ New Jail) and Sheriff
Sleeping Quarters at YSC.
This MSA request will be used to recruit telephony savvy project managers.
Typical Background/Skills/Experience:
This MSA request is for a Telephone Systems Project Manager reporting to,
and working closely with the Infrastructure and Telecom Program Managers.
This role will manage multiple Telephone Systems related projects
The candidate should have experience in managing multiple large scale
projects concurrently and at least broad familiarity with the technologies
involved such as PBX and Call/Contact Center Upgrades and VoIP.
The selected candidate will perform all essential Project Management
functions: project leadership, communication, scoping, manage project
spending, timeline, risk mitigation, overall execution and change
management elements to ensure successful project delivery.
The Project Manager will be responsible for all phases of the project from
Initiation to Planning to Execution to Closing.
Excellent customer interaction and communication skills + documentation
skills is a must
Primary Duties
Project management with an emphasis on telephony project experience and a
proven track record of successful telephony focused project completion.
Also, project management experience in the public sector is highly desired.
