*Description:-*
This role is needed to support back fill for overloaded staff.
The following activities are to be performed by the contactor in Global
Operations.
*Responsibilities:*
Providing operational support for servers running *Windows Server 2008,
2008 R2, 2012, and 2012 R2*. Diagnose and remediate issues with Windows
Server infrastructure, and related roles and features, as well as other
Microsoft and third-party Windows business infrastructure applications.
Qualifications:
MUST HAVE:
· *5+ years supporting Windows environment of 1000+ servers and
associated Windows infrastructure components.*
· *Administer VMware vSphere infrastructure encompassing over 1500
guest machines and 1000 VDI machines.*
· *Work on support tickets as well as support phone for Global
Windows Infrastructure environment*
· *Perform day-to-day system administration of the environment and
preventative maintenance*
· *Providing operational support for application teams and plant IS
teams globally to ensure business continuity. *
· *Troubleshoot issues related to Windows servers and Windows
Infrastructure.*
· *Manage and document all troubleshooting information in ticketing
system.*
· *Understanding of networking technology fundamentals*
· *General understanding of Active Directory, IIS and DNS*
· *Knowledge of Cisco UCS and Vmware 5.x\6.0*
· *Knowledge of NetApp storage a plus*
· *Knowledge of Citrix and Commvault a plus.*
· *Degree in computer systems or computer science preferred*
*· **Process Oriented*
