ScrumMaster –
Minneapolis,
MN - 9+ Months
We are seeking a ScrumMaster for Thrivent in Minneapolis. The contract is
through the end of 2016. .
*SUMMARY*
The ScrumMaster leads and influences the Team according to their needs and
to follow Scrum. The
ScrumMaster has experience with the Scrum framework, Scrum values, Agile
principles and values in the
Agile manifesto and coaches others on the subtleties. He/She partners with
the product owner to
ensure the right deliverables are planned. Ultimately, the ScrumMaster
actively embraces that Scrum is
practiced inside the Team in order to maximize product delivery/business
value and protects the team
from subtle interruptions and diversions. He/She proactively helps people
outside the Team understand
the kinds of interactions with the Team that are helpful (and those that
are not). The ScrumMaster is a
champion for Agile adoption within our client and involved in the external
Agile community.
*REQUIRED SKILLS*
· Over 2 years in a lead role on projects, scrum teams, and/or
business led initiatives
· Demonstrated experience leading people
· Demonstrated experience with incremental work delivery
· Understand software development processes and procedures
· Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Product Owner (CPO),
Certified Scrum Developer (CSD),
or equivalent Agile certification
· Knowledgeable of common Agile practices, such as test driven
development, pair programming,
continuous integration, Kanban, etc.
· Experienced with work tracking systems and Scrum management
tools. Understand how to
leverage tools for the benefit of the team.
· Must come from the business side of financial services and NOT
information technology
