*Role: Sitecore .Net Developer Location: Downtown Chicago Length: 6 – 12
month contract*

*Interview Process:*

*Summary: *The Application Developer provides technical and development
expertise to the team of developers. They work with cross-functional
project teams to develop web-based applications.

*Responsibilities:*
*During the planning and design phase, work collaboratively with team
members to develop comprehensive and viable designs and estimates.
*In collaboration with the development team and depending on the size of
the project, develop subsystems or full system using technologies as
assigned.
*Develop clean, accurate, and effective code..
*Partner with QA throughout the development process and quickly respond to
bugs and errors identified by QA.
*Ensure bugs are rectified and accurate moving forward and prepare
documentation explaining the steps taken to overcome bugs.
*Prepare accurate documentation throughout the project.
*Participate in project meetings including post project analysis and
provide insightful input.
*Effectively communicate ideas, project status, and challenges to team
members throughout the lifecycle of the project.
*Travel as needed to client meetings.
*Other related duties as needed.


*Qualifications: **Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.
*Experience working in an agency or consulting environment with external
clients is an asset.
*5 Years experience with Server-Side web application development using one
or more of the following:
*C#, ASP.NET, MVC, WebForms
*PHP, Ruby, Python or other specific platforms would be an asset
*Working knowledge of content management systems (Sitecore, DRUPAL,
Umbraca, Oracle WebCenter, SDL Tridion or Endeca) is a plus.
*Experience with REST and/or SOAP web services, Web API, Entity Framework
*Client Side familiarity with CSS, HTML and JavaScript
*Familiarity with SQL Server
*Experience in component software design and common object-oriented design
patterns.
*Experience in Agile software development methodologies is a plus.

*General Knowledge and Skills:*
*An appreciation for software engineering principals such as unit testing
and source code control.
*Excellent problem-solving skills.
*Ability to communicate effectively.
*A love for technical challenges.
*An understanding of modern UX trends and best-practices.
*An understanding and passion for new technologies.
*Great attention to detail.
*Proven success working in cross-functional teams.
*Comfort working in highly flexible, entrepreneurial environment.
*Ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment.
