*Title/Role: Java Developer* *Location: St Louis, MO* *Duration: Long Term* *Need Locals or near by resources.* *Job Description* The Enterprise Development organization is looking for an experienced *JAVA* developer that can act as both a dedicated developer for a project and also as a developer on a support team. This developer will be focused on providing support and enhancements for existing Java Web applications, as well as being a developer on projects to build new applications. The application being worked on can and will span different business functions (commercial, technical services, integrated farming services etc). A combination of technologies will be leveraged, including Google Web Toolkit (GWT), Spring/Spring MVC, XML, SQL, Hibernate/JPA, MyBATIS, Maven, Web Services (SOAP/REST), JMS, JASON, HTML5. Monsanto’s business is complex; therefore candidates must have strong technical experience and be able to quickly learn new processes in order to be successful in this role. The candidate will need to be able to handle both an agile/flexible environment, as well as a more formal, process driven environment. The candidate will be responsible for owning assigned development tasks, understanding business requirements, developing reliable solutions, performing unit testing, identifying and resolving issues, assisting with compatibility testing, and defining/driving enhancements and configurations. *Responsibilities will include: * · Working directly with Business Analyst and Support Analyst to understand requirements · Coding solutions and enhancements that follow Object Oriented methodologies and Design Patterns · Maintaining Team Track tickets · Maintaining software version control (Subversion) · Working with testing team and architects · Working with users and IT team members *Skills: * • Strong JAVA/JavaScript experience (minimum 5 years) -- Mandatory • Strong Object Oriented analysis, design, and development experience -- Mandatory • Strong knowledge and experience with Design Patterns – Mandatory • Strong knowledge and experience with Spring/Spring MVC, JAX-WS, MyBATIS, JASON, XML, Javascript – Mandatory • Strong knowledge and experience with SOAP and RESTful web services • Experience with Test Driven Development • Experience with version control and software release procedures using Subversion • Experience working with Weblogic Application Server. • Solid knowledge of design patterns. • At least five years of experience utilizing Oracle/SQL. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills *Additional Skills* (not required, but represent a bonus if there person has it) • Experience working in a Scrum team. • Experience with Test First Development Methodology. • Experience with tools such as Maven, Subversion, JIRA. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Experience with messaging systems (JMS) *Looking forward to hear from you soon.* *Thanks & Regards* *Ash* Oslo Solutions LLC.
