*What will I be doing?*

As part of the lane-side software engineering team, you will work on
multithreaded real-time C++ solutions to perform sophisticated data
analysis for toll systems. This product is responsible for monitoring the
health and status of the entire system, as well as managing the maintenance
and dashboard reporting activities. The system is highly available,
responsible for millions of micro-transactions per day, and represents the
most accurate tolling system in the world. Our monitoring product sets the
industry standard for automated monitoring and response.

You will be responsible for managing the entire SDLC from requirements
interpretation, design, documentation, coding, review, testing, release,
and maintenance. The system is built on top of Linux and C++, and a solid
architectural design/approach. Responsibilities include
maintenance/research/fixes for existing systems as well as development of
new deployments, as well as participation in new deployment installation
and field efforts.

*What Skills do I need?*

* Undergraduate degree in computer science or related field
* 8+ years enterprise C++ coding experience with Linux systems
* Familiarity with multi-threaded applications
* Ability to manage and aggressively push project deadlines
* “Big picture” thinking with regard to design and solution architecting
* 2 years experience with any scripting language
* Superior English writing and communication skills
* Desire to learn new skills and improve existing ones
* Understanding of enterprise software design principles – architecture,
design patterns, OOP

*Additional beneficial skills & experience:*
* Boost and STL (C++) experience
* Knowledge of (micro) transactional or tolling systems
* Experience with highly-reliable systems
* Python experience
* Linux server/application management and deployment experience
