Interested consultants please share your resume with below details- Full Name- Visa and Visa Copy - Hourly Rate- Contact no and email- Current Location- *Note-Please submit local consultants able to attain f2f on short notice.* The following requisition has been assigned: Contract TITLE: Hadoop Admin STATUS: Open LOCATION: San Jose, CA, United States # of Openings: 1 Requisition Details: Responsibilities • Own and manage several Hadoop clusters and other services of Hadoop Ecosystem in development and production environments • Work closely with engineering teams and participate in the infrastructure development and framework development • as required • Automate deployment and management of Hadoop services including implementing monitoring • Contribute to the evolving architecture of our services to meet changing requirements for scaling, reliability, performance, manageability, and price • Capacity planning of Hadoop clusters based on application requirement Hadoop Admin • Implementation and ongoing administration of Hadoop infrastructure • Hadoop cluster maintenance like adding or removing nodes using cluster managers like Ambari / Cloudera Manager • Performance tuning of Hadoop clusters and capacity planning • Monitor Hadoop cluster connectivity and security • Manage and review Hadoop log files • File system management and monitoring • HDFS support and maintenance • Install operating system (Linux Redhat/CentOS) and Hadoop updates, patches, version upgrades • Manage Hadoop users which includes setting up Linux users, setting up Kerberos principals and testing HDFS, Hive, Pig and MapReduce access for the new users Required Experience • Overall 8 years of experience as System Administrators and 4+ years as Hadoop Administrator• • Knowledge of capacity planning, management, cluster operations • Experience monitoring, troubleshooting and tuning services and applications • Familiarity with use of standard Hadoop ecosystem features and applications such as MapReduce, HBase, and Hive. • Experience running and troubleshooting Java applications.
