Req. ID: Req-1446 - ETL developer with JAVA
Description: Position: Informatica Developer
Location: Mountain View, CA
Duration: 3 months, start date is 1/5/2009
NOTES: Excellent 9/10 or 10/10 communication skills only.
Job duties (added Java to previous description submitted):
o Prepare ETL source to target data mapping document
o Develop ETL processes using Informatica
o Develop job schedules using Appworx
o Develop Unix shell scripts if needed to support ETL process
o Develop Java parsers to transform data from DB into XML format and vice
versa
o Perform unit testing and document the results
o Prepare code migration document and work with release team in migrating
the code to QA & other environments
o Work closely with QA team during the testing phase and fix bugs if any
o Troubleshoot and resolve database, ETL performance issues
Skills:
o 5+ years of ETL experience and at least 3+ years of hands on experience
with Informatica
o Should have exposure to complex and large Data Warehouse
projects/implementation
o Strong SQL, PL/SQL skills
o Good Java development skills
o Excellent understanding of Kimball Warehouse methodology
o Exposure to job scheduling tool such as Appworx
o Unix shell scripting skills
o Business Objects skills is a plus but not mandatory
o Experience working in onsite-offshore model
o Ability to communicate with QA,RTP and other cross functional teams
