Project Description:
(What project will the contractor be working on?)
The Business Process Analyst will define and develop the end-to-end
service delivery process, such as ordering, provisioning and test and
turn-up, for emerging voice over IP services for business customers.
Job Description:
(What will the contractor do on that project?)
The analyst will work with multidisciplinary teams across multiple
functional areas, process domains and work centers, such as, but not
limited to, product management and systems development, to bring to
market new services and features. The analyst will also be
responsible
for working with the service delivery work center to plan, script,
test
and support user
acceptance testing and operational readiness testing of the new
feature
set. In addition, the analyst shall support the initial rollout of
the
features for business customers. Finally, the analyst is responsible
for
delivering operational efficiencies such as cost, cycle time and
defect
reduction through process re-engineering.
The analyst shall also have experience with the software development
and
systems engineering processes and should be familiar with the
operations
support systems that support the ordering and provisioning of voice
over
IP and data services
The analyst shall have technical experience with the ordering and
provisioning of legacy voice services such as dedicated long
distance,
local trunks, and toll-free services; data services such as dedicated
Internet access, frame relay, ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode),
metropolitan Ethernet, MPLS (Multi-Port Label Switching) and
associated
IP-based services; customer premises hardware including, but not
limited
to, Cisco routers, LAN (Local Area Network)switches, IP (Internet
Protocol) and TDM (Time Division Multiplexing)PBXs, and IP and TDM
handsets; and voice over IP protocols including SIP (Session
Initiation
Protocol), H.323, SCCP(Signaling Connection Control Part), MGCP(Media
Gateway Control Protocol)and RTP (Rapid Transport Protocol).
