I unfortunately cannot go to this but thought others of you might be interested...

Do you hate Bush? Would you like to get him out of office? Or make sure that Congress will stand up to him?

Some of us are joining together as Asian Americans to work on that last point, to elect someone who we know will stand up for social justice, with values and positions we believe in. That would be Barack Obama, a Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate. Not some wimpy centrist Democrat, but someone who actually has a legislative track record (unlike the other Democratic candidates) of fighting for progressive issues. His website is http://www.obamaforillinois.com. And we'll be asking for his commitment of support for Asian American issues.

If nothing else, come and meet some other progressive Asian American folks! Our first action is this Saturday. We will be convincing storeowners to put up Obama signs in Uptown and Edgewater.

This Saturday December 13 10am-1pm Meet at Coffee Chicago 5256 N. Broadway at Berwyn right down street from Berwyn stop on red El line Questions? Lost? call Lawrence 312-735-5310

Hot chocolate and incentive prizes afterwards!
