(2 blocks West of Red Line Morse stop) *public transportation encouraged In January 2004, local immmigrant leaders went to Mumbai, India for the WORLD SOCIAL FORUM -- a global gathering of activists and leaders who believe that "Another World Is Possible." The Forum was overwhelming: 70,000 delegates from 140 countries attending 500 workshops in 10 days. And it was inspiring: Local leaders from movements across the world swapped vision and strategy for a just world. On March 19, join us for a delicious meal and a community report-back where we'll share our experiences at the Forum -- what we saw, what we learned, how it changed us, and how it applies to our work locally. - Daysi Funes from Centro Romero, - Erku Yimmer from the Ethiopian Center, - Mark Joseph from the MultiCultural Youth Project, and - Saket Soni and Alima Ramnarine from CAAELII will share their varied experiences in India. We'll also present "Images From India": a multi-media exhibit of posters, pictures, and video footage from the World Social Forum.
