Punjabi Cultural Society of Chicago (PCS) is organizing this traditional, colorful Punjabi cultural program titled "Rangla Punjab 2004." This is the single largest annual Punjabi event in Chicago area that show cases the Punjabi performing arts and promote! s the local community talent. A gathering of 2000 is expected where more than 250 local artist participants will display their best.
Popular Punjabi dances Bhangra and Gidha, Punjabi music and songs, comedy skits, and many other items are the highlights of this stage show. The program has been sold out in many previous years.
Gateway theater, an ornate auditorium with 2000 cushioned seats, has been home to several previous year's highly successful "Rangla Punjabs" and many other professional shows, and screening of Indian and Pakistani movies. Theater parking is free. Additional free parking, identified for Rangla Punjab, around the theater has also been arranged.
Program sponsorship opportunities and several attractive package options are available. Space for merchandise vendor booths in the lobby area is also available, please call PCS.
Punjabi Cultural Society of Chicago is a not-for-profit community organization devoted to promoting Punjabi culture, language, performing arts, sports, and healthy life style in metropolitan Chicago area.
