*Senior QA Profile* *$60/hour in San Diego * *3-6 month contract EAD or Better-Please send over your best candidates that are local to CA and willing to interview in person* *Engagement Type: Contract* *Short Description: * Responsible for developing, applying, and maintaining quality standards for company products. Develops and executes tests and assists in automation activities. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Complete Description: -- Partner with the development team in all project phases to ensure deliverables satisfy requirements and achieve desired level of quality. -- Engage with other quality engineers for direction and feedback -- Learn and understand the product’s use case flows and interdependencies -- Use strong QA analytical skills to test and troubleshoot complex test cases involving multiple tiers, multiple servers and an array of third-party open source solutions. -- Understand the scope and impact of new features in development -- Document test case scenarios and manually execute regression & new feature test cases as necessary while providing support extending test automation suite -- Create, extend, and refactor existing test automation as necessary to improve the level of quality -- Actively participate in defining test strategies and tasks, estimating work and monitoring progress against milestones. -- Contribute to process improvements to increase efficiency on both the project team as well as in the QA organization. *Required / Desired Skills * Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Expertise Rating 5+ years experience in software quality engineering Required 5 Years Intermediate Experience testing consumer oriented user facing web applications Required 0 Intermediate Experience using Selenium Grid & selenium client libraries Required 0 Intermediate Familiarity with browser based testing (HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, JavaScript) Required 0 Intermediate Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Required 0 Intermediate Self-directed and highly motivated Required 0 Intermediate Experience with Unix or Unix variant, OS X and Windows.
