Position: Director of Technical Operations - CCP
Location: Philadelphia, PA Duration: 6 Months+ Rate: Open (DOE) Delivers technical capability and business advantage in all environments (Dev, QA and Production) Collaborates with managers to prioritize, plan, schedule, allocate resources and balance multiple projects across multiple functional areas Delivers and enforces architecture standards Makes certain that areas within technical operations are aligned with each other in direction and capabilities and supports continuous evolvement of capabilities and technologies Ensures the operations organization provides appropriate level of technical support while continuously meeting and exceeding end user satisfaction Acts as an internal change coach, leading and motivating technical teams Ensures that personnel needs are met accordingly Performs employee evaluations Skills Demonstrates strong leadership skills Strong ability to successfully drive and execute work in a dynamic environment Ability to provide technical vision across products Extensive knowledge of information infrastructure standards, processes, strategic planning, operations finance, policies and metrics Extensive knowledge of system development lifecycle, service desk, systems, application and data management processes Extensive knowledge of QA management, tools, and techniques Strong ability to successfully drive and execute work in a dynamic environment Knowledge of solution architecture leadership and delivery Advanced capabilities for issue and risk assessment and management Advanced capabilities for IT reporting, dashboard development and process mapping Extensive project and resource management experience Experience with successfully leveraging offshore resources Proven ability to drive change (process and organizational) Understanding of television, VOD architectures, and distribution methods. 6+ years experience managing complex web projects and teams within an Agile based process model. 5+ years experience in Internet/Web Development environment executing dynamic website design and development projects. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience. Strong writing, reporting, and follow-up skills. Excellent meeting facilitation, planning and management skills required. Excellent relationship building skills. Experience working in a collaborative environment and obtaining consensus amongst groups. Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Proficient with MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint Proficient in standard PM applications (JIRA, Confluence) Strong organizational skills and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries. Knowledge of project management industry best practices. Experience managing external partner relationships Experience with AGILE methodology (e.g., SCRUM) is preferred. Experience with basic HTML and XML a plus Excellent technical understanding of cable television technologies. Detailed knowledge of cable system plant operations and billing systems is a strong benefit. Specific experience delivering products with enterprise scale requirements. Proven experience as a leader in a collaborative setting with diverse teams and multiple stakeholders. Demonstrated experience with product/release planning Demonstrated ability to solve problems leading to successful product definition and delivery.
