We’ve Urgent requirement with one of our direct client for Data Analyst - Job Opening - Location NYC, NY *Title: Data Analyst* *Location: NYC, NY* *Duration: 6 Months* This position is required to ensure the successful conversion of data from agencies legacy system to Vantage as part of the deployment process The Data Analyst works as part of the Vantage Deployment team and is responsible for all aspects of data throughout the project life cycle including data cleansing and data conversion. It is the Data Analyst’s responsibility to work closely with the agency to ensure that there is a plan in place for data cleansing and that metrics are regularly produced to ensure that plan is being adhered to. Regarding data conversion the Data Analyst works as part of the team during the workshop phase to agree the scope of conversion and then works with the agency to extract the data from their legacy system in the required format. The Data Analyst needs to ensure that the data provide is accurate and valid and reconciles back to legacy system reports. Once data is converted into Vantage the Data Analyst undertakes the initial reconciliation before working with the agency to undertake their own reconciliation. The Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring that data is provided for all the test conversion phases, the dry run and the Cutover phase and that the data is accurate. After the final test conversion phase the Data Analyst must obtain from agency senior management the formal sign off to proceed to Live One of the main tasks of the Data Analyst during the live load (Cutover) is to ensure that all our compliance / audit requirements are met and that full reconciliations are produced, they are all signed and they have supporting documentation. The reconciliation and supporting documents are then handed over to the IPG Compliance Controller and confirmation is received that they have received and reviewed them and that there are no outstanding issues. *Problems/Challenges faced:* The biggest challenge faced by the Data Analyst is to ensure that legacy data is fully cleansed and easily extractable from the system. This may mean working directly with the agencies 3rd party system provider or with the agencies IT department. Having extracted the data they need to then work closely with the Finance or Production staff to ensure that the data provide is 100% accurate and also ensure that there is no data held ‘off line’ that needs to be included in Vantage. * * *Measurable Impact on the Organization:* Clean and accurate data in Vantage is essential for ensuring the success of the deployment. If incorrect data is loaded then this could affect the agency’s ability to report not only to the US (via Hyperion) but also to the local Government.
