Need *DB2 / AIX Administrator*
Location: *RENO, NV*
Duration: 6 Months
Skills:
· Copart DB2/AIX Administrator
· Support of AIX production, test and development servers.
· Knowledge of and experience with IBM DB2 Database functionality
and operations would be a plus (would not be primary Database Administrator)
· Performing UNIX technical analysis and operational support of AIX
and Linux environments.
· Operation and maintenance of the OS including application of
patches and upgrades.
· Hardware / OS performance analysis and tuning, enhancements and
corrective actions.
· Script development to automate processes and monitor system
performance.
· Providing configuration and operation support.
· All phases of environment life cycle to include hardware setup,
configuration, capacity planning.
· Interface with the customer at meetings to gather project
requirements.
· On call and after hours maintenance support required.
· Support maintenance activities.
· Setting up administrator and service accounts.
· Providing backup recovery.
· Maintaining system documentation.
· Allocating mass storage space.
· Coordinating and installing system wide software at designated
sites.
· Effectively interacting with a variety of users.
Working knowledge of AIX: AIX OS, Kernel; AIX file systems; AIX tuning.
