Job Title: Excel / VBA Consultant Work Location: US-DC-Washington Positions: 1 Position Description/Responsibilities: Our Client is seeking an IT Consultant with advanced level Excel / VBA programming experience. Scope of Work The consultant will be supporting the CFUIMS Business Officer in further developing, testing and maintaining CFUIMS. This includes: 1. Quickly learn existing CFUIMS analytics (data entry tool + modeling tool used for asset forecasting), 2. Working with CFUIMS Business Officer, continue development of new line items of the CFUIMS analytics, 3. Provide daily CFUIMS support to the team which includes: debugging, analyzing, prioritizing and logging and tracking issues using existing help desk tool, 4. Develop test plans, test scenarios/test cases and perform unit, functional verification tests, integration and/or user testing to ensure high quality CFUIMS data and report. 5. Identify and enhance/refractor/comment existing code to gain design efficiencies, increase performance and overall system quality, 6. Assist with data migration, extraction, and reconciliation from Excel-to SAP and from SAP-to-Excel 7. Ensure CFUIMS-Excel databases are properly backed up and periodically test the restore functionality. 8. Ensure system integrity and adequate access controls are maintained. 9. Assist documenting the analytics behind the CFUIMS, 10. Serve as a back-up for the CFUIMS officer. Requirements 1. BS/BA degree in CS, business, or other relevant discipline, 2. Minimum 1 year relevant work experience, 3. Advanced financial modeling skills preferred, 4. Advanced programming experience in Excel/VBA is required and SAP, Java or any other high level programming languages experiences is desirable. Note, Excel and VBA tests(paper and/or programming assignment) will be administered during the interview process), 5. Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines, 6. Self starter with the ability to manage projects independently, 7. Quick learner who is willing to gain a comprehensive knowledge of the carbon finance business, 8. Strong analytical skills.
