Hello!

It seems that you have got the same scenario. Try to download

   a) the same version of SAP DB of the production system or
   b) the version 7.3.0.24

and then try to recover your instance a new time. As far as
I know backups from different OSs (e.g. Windows <-> Linux)
don't work on the other OS. So if you're running Linux on the
productive system, install Linux on your backup-system.

The error-code -24988 earmarks only that a SQL-error (ERR_SQL)
occured. The second code is the interesting one. So you've
got a -9000 error.

Good luck!

Regards
Christian Jung

PS: You can find old versions of SAP DB by accessing the ftp-
server directly (ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/sapdb/bin/).
