Dear people on the list! After managing to install sapDB and installing a first basic database, I would like to know whether there are any resources on how to set up a database server in the best possible way (Linux/ x86 based). I.e.what IO subsystem to use (RAID1/ 5/ 10, ...), what kind of database storage method (file, raw, ...), how to organize the database (split into multiple files across multiple io subsystems or rather one large database container (file) etc. As I know (from Navision Financials) that there are so many things to be taken into account (that may be done in a wrong way) that one doesn't recognize as a newbie, it would be really helpful to get to know what you are using, or alternatively where to find more information about these issues. Unfortunately the sapdb docs don't tell much about those things.
