Please, describe your needs. In general optimizing database performance is the struggle to limit / speed up disk IO. Raw is faster than file, RAID5 is slower than 1, SCSI Controller / PCI bus data paths matter, RAM amount matters, CPU sometimes maters also. Two separate RAID 10 faw partitons, one for datafile and the other for logfile would probably be the best.
