Hi,

I apologize if this question has been asked before. Can someone point me
to a searchable archive of the list?

I did a complete backup of a db, and restored it to another, and upon
trying to start the db, I get "error -24988: sql error (db_warm -f);
-8003, Message not available.

the message "message not available" isn't terribly helpful..

These are the same two databases I backed up and restored before (one is
testing, one is production, I need to keep them in sync periodically).

Any help would be appreciated.

hints:
The backup restore was successful.
I can check the database successfully.
It will go to "cold" mode, just not "warm" mode.
Doing a check on the backup yields an error -24994, "kernel start failed".
The devspace is the same size between the two databases.
There is over 3 gb left on the device, so space isn't an issue.
I tried restoring it again, after it finishes, it gives the message "if
you restart the database now, it will be completely restored", but it
still doesn't start (same error).
The "Backup history" section shows "DAT_0008 RESTORE 11/5/2002 2:41pm OK
'Complete Backup 2' NO 4224kb 1 6201"
