Hi,

Thank you, both for telling me where to look up the error codes and an
efficient way to search the mailing list for future questions - and again
for pointing me to the particular page you did.

I have only one problem, it says I have to "initialize" the database (to
clear the log).

I don't know how to initialize the database from sapdb except to create a
new one. Where/how can I do this in sapdbmgui?

Also, what is the best way to completely delete a database, as unregister
doesn't actually delete the database.
(Does the GBMGUI PDF Manual have a Index somewhere that I am missing,
btw?)

Thank you,

The message doesn't appear because it's stored in a database table which
is accessible only on warm mode. To look up error messages and some
helpful info on them:

This one from the mailing list seems to match you problem
http://listserv.sap.com/pipermail/sapdb.general/2002-February/010896.html

Hint: the search function of the mailing list doesn't index numbers
(neither does google), so the best chance is to look up the error
message text and search for the keywords.
