just hang on a little. we've used sapdb for almost 2 years in production with 
no problems at all and were very happy with the software until these strange 
crashes started happening. it could very well be that it is a combination of 
several factors (e.g. memory leaks that only occur when certain db-operations 
are used maybe in a wrong way) which makes it so hard to diagnose. I don't 
think it would be fair to come to the conclusion that sapdb is not stable on 
linux because of our problems.
