I am getting the following error when trying to start a database:

+ /usr/sapdb/indep_prog/bin/dbmcli -d DXM_DB -u sapdb,sapdb99 db_start
ERR
-24994,ERR_RTE: runtime environment error
1,Check knldiag! Kernel died before reaching COLD state

I am using a script to create the database and start it which has been used many times
before. I have manually checked all the steps before trting to start the database and
all looks ok.

System details are as follows:

Sun Blade 1000
Sun Solaris 2.8
gcc 3.2

I have tested the same setup on a SUN Ultra 1 and it works fine.

Anyone got any ideas on how to work out what is failing?
