Put a new tape into the drive and use 'mt status'. Then put a used tape
into the drive and do a 'mt status' again and compare the output.
Compare the output, then use commands like 'mt setblk' and 'mt
setdensity' and maybe others to correct the settings of the used tape.
It's also possible that the tape was 'partitioned' somehow by the NT
backup, so you have to remove those 'partitions'. Don't ask me how, mt
should tell you.
