I am new to SAP DB also, and have successfully set up 7.3, but have only played with it a bit.
Apparently in SAPDB there is no way to turn off transaction prcessing. You can control it a bit with I think isonation level, but it stays on. Just as an experiment, what if you did a COMMIT after each row added (or each 100 rows added) in VB. I used to see this kind of thing in Oracle where I'd be logged in as two different users, and the first users inserts would not show to the 2nd user until a COMMIT was applied by the first user. If this is the problem, well, its a simple fix. Hope thats all it is! Best wishes! Bob Acker Mead, Colorado __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
