Hi,
We use SAPDB on a very important project here, and it runs constantly in
production without any problems for months now. Unlike Derek, I find the
documentation helpful, especially the SQL reference. Some of the tools
are powerful enough that besides syntax, they could use more examples
(f.e. the Replication manager). Like anything else, it takes getting used
to, if you are coming from MS-SQL or Oracle, you will find some
differences.
All and all, we are very satisfied, and I will evaluate using SAPDB in
future projects.
Our singular complaint is this: No Mid-level paid support. You either
have to pay for a dedicated support person (about $60K US/yr), or else
make due with the free support. It isn't much of a complaint, because the
free support has been excelent, and in fact better than paid support at
some other companies!
Thank you,
Noah Silva

Subject: Using SAP DB
Hello all,
We are considering using SAP DB for our SAP FI-CO
implementation and possibly for full SAP ERP later.
We will have about 50 users for FI-CO and somewhere
near 400 users for full SAP.
If anyone would be willing to share the experiences
good and/or bad about SAP DB in a SAP environment I
would appreciate it.
Best Regards,
Dave Schaeffer
