Hi,

SAP DB is able to work in the same manner as described below. Many SAP customers run
SAP DB in cluster configurations. The setup is mainly done by the hardware or solution
vendors.

Subject: Re: SAPDB 7.3 linux in Critical Mission Application

Hi,

we had a project which involved a hot-standby cluster running under
RedHat High Availability Server and Adabas-D 11 (a very close relative
to SAP-DB). The way it worked, was that each node of the cluster had a
local installation of the DB Server and the data devices (raw) where on
an external raid array, which was mounted by the node that was currently
active .

We are considering to migrate from Adabas to SAP-DB on RedHat High
Availability Server, so I would be interested if there is any 'official'
statement from SAP-DB folks concering cluster funtionality.

Regards,
Arne
