Running SAP DB version 7.0.4.3 build 7, I was able to run SINGLE/OFF log mode - but after upgrading to build 14 (the "stable" release of 7.4), I receive the following error: sql error [util_execute SET LOG DEVSPACE OFF] -3008,Message not available when attempting to set the log mode in the DBM GUI.
