Hi, I hope i am mailing this to the correct group. I am trying to build a port of SAP DB for solaris and solaris x86. From the main site i have been following the instructions about the build tools, but am running into major compile issues. If anyone here has successfully built a port for solaris, using either the SunPro(Workshop/forte) compilers or gcc, could you please let me know of any querks that need to be fixed in order to get this DB and tools to build correctly. Help would be greatly appreciated.

I recently installed SAPDB on our sparc solaris V9 box; it went fairly smoothly; pretty much according to the installation instructions. I used the gcc that comes with solaris.
I had some difficulties installing other products (python, postgresql) when we were running solaris V7; I had little success with the default solaris compiler. Life got better after installing gcc.
