In my case there is no problem to pay for server licenses if they will
charge the same for SAPDB as they already charge for MySQL, still cheap.
SAPDB has the scalability and technical fitness what we need, comparable to
Oracle. This means that this (product charactetistisc) also isnt an issue
since it is unlikely that will change as soon as MySQL takes control. Our
concern is about brand name: SAPDB is SAP AG's product, the makers of one of
the fitness ERP and CRM in the market, then there is implicit trust that
SAPDB is as hgood as its other SAP's products. There is no need to convince
to IT staff to use SAPDB, it sells itself. But if you try to sell SAPDB
(even if you known that is good RDBMS) but named MySQL, be shure that they
(IT staff) will not like the idea.

Conclusion: Do whatever business change you want, just dont rename the
product.

The question here, is, will there continue to be SAP branded releases in
parallel with the MySQL releases?

Guys, we won't be able to make commercial non-GPL software with the new
MySQL without paying for a commercial Sap-DB license, as Rudolf Munz has
told me by e-mail:

"...You are right that starting with the rebranded version of SAP DB in
the 4th quarter of 2003, SAP DB will be GPL-only without LGPL for our
client interfaces. You can either rely on the non-rebranded versions of
SAP DB or buy a commercial license from MySQL if you do not want that
your applications have to be placed under GPL."

This makes me say good bye to my future plans of using Sap-DB in future
developments. Thank you all of you!!!!!!!!
