We originally had a RH7.3 install and everything was great. Since this
was a temporary setup we decided to go live with the latest RH9, which I
have heard is almost the same as 8.0. After spending 2 days on this with
the assistance of a network engineer we gave up as we could never make
it keep working even after applying all the "fixes" we found. We got
environment errors every time we started the instance. It would run for
a session then upon reboot would fail again. We went back to RH7.3 and
all is well again. My recommendation: stick with 7.3 and save your hair.
