Bring up a SuSE v8.1 server and download the tarball for SAPDB v7.3, you
will have NO problems at all. I imagine 7.4 will work just as fine but I
have not tested it on SuSE to date.

Redhat 8 is fine and works ok. Use a rpm installation. It'll tell you
what dependecies are missing.

Win2k is ok as well. Just follow the instructions in the documents.
