Hi,
I want to know best approach to create a PC product where I can define
a set number of PCs e.g. 10 per brand/model, and have buyers choose a
set of options for that PC e.g. OS and software package, e.g.
PC-Product-A
PC-Product-B
OS {Ubuntu, XP, Vista}
Software {Basic, Standard, Full}
The problem with product variations is you have to assign quantities
to each variation making it very hard to have 10 PCs per brand/model
in total (without resorting to weird distributions of quantity and
accute attention to sales).
the custom product seems design for this, but does noot seem to
incorporate the option groups set (maybe I have not setup properly and
am missing this funtion as I think I read somewhere that custom
products can incorporate option groups).
Anyway, any insight/help is appreciated.
Thanks.
