Thanks for feedback Chris.

On the "Change Custom Product" screen I have added the option groups
for OS and software but on the shop these options do not appear (the
actual webpage has no options to chhose from).

However, creating a configurable product, selecting the option groups,
and creating the product variations work fine (resulting in a single
webpage in the shop with the two option sets selectable).

Hence, I think that custom products is not enabled in the
configuration I am using. How do I enable it?
