Pulling and sorting a list of objects via Ajax in Django isn't so hard at all. I just built a Django-based iTunes-style filtering system where a user builds up a set of filters and is constantly pulling, sorting, re-pulling, re-sorting lists of model data. However, the more important question at this point is why the heck you're even thinking about showing a list of 4,400 products? That's insanity.
Take a moment to re-think your interface. Or at least explain why you must have 4,400 products on the page all sortable and I'll gladly join Ryan in postulating solutions. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Satchmo users" group.
