It isn't that complex to get your SSL cert installed.  If you are
using Lighttpd, take a look at the article I wrote on my blog:

I think Namecheap.com is currently giving away SSL certs for a year,
with a domain name purchase, or else $10 to just buy it straight out.

I never suggest people buy the expensive "confirmed" certs, because
most people don't have any clue about why their browser sometimes
shows a fancy looking frame around the address.  It is not worth the
$150 if people have no clue, even if it is theoretically a good idea.
