Saturday House is dying. The concept and the community that it has fostered are unbelievably strong but as an weekend event the patient is in pretty bad shape.
This weekend we had a total of seven people come in. In the last month there have been as few as five total attendees for the day. And this has me worried because we are heading into summer and everyone has so many other things going on. Last summer attendance dropped 50% on average and with our current attendance totals... A huge number of the regulars have moved out of the Seattle region, and people are coming in and leaving fairly quickly when they come to check out the space. I have some ideas for marketing, I would love for a Saturday House session at the upcoming bar camp, and a set of postings about Saturday House on the various email lists, but I would love to hear from you all on ideas to get people coming to Saturday House again.
