I think we need thicker bullets;
  These BB's aren't doing the trick.

  I came last Saturday for about an hour and a half, and there were
  a few people present. I was surprised -- in previous "crises,"
  far more people have shown up.

  Patrick & I talked. He's accepted contract in Singapore, and so
  will be gone in a few months.

  "Why would we close Saturday House?", he asked. "It's free. Just
  leave it open on the weekends. No need to shut it down."

  A fair point.

  A few eager faces arrived, as fresh as the fresh enthusiasm on the
  list. "We can!", I hear them say; And I'm happy for this; There
  is a hope.

  My new proposal:

  * Leave Saturday House open, as long as Patrick's keyed and
    willing to open.

  * Tone down:  http://saturdayhouse.org/
    - remove ALL visionary elements
    - no hopes, outreach, or aspirations
    - say: "This is a place where some people meet on Saturdays.
            You're welcome to come."
      (It is not disloyal to reality, no?)
    - delete wiki content, link to wiki, "Participants," etc.,.

  * Leave the mailing list up, indefinitely.

  * If we can muster the will for it, hold a gathering between
    Saturday House guards, on the 25th.
    - Old guard: Lion Kimbro, Brian Dorsey, Justin Martenstein,
                  Robert Eickmann, Patrick Haller
    - New guard: Any of the fresh faces who want to do something
                  with this, who want to see it live, who have a
                  vision and perhaps can make it into a mission or a
                  plan.

  Sincerely,
    Lion Kimbro
