I think the primary issue here is that all the people that have been passionate about Saturday House in the past have all either lost interest and / or moved on to other things. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just means that the organization needs a new set of "Benevolent Dictators". I also agree with Gregory that the group works best when people are bring their *projects*, not just their *interests*. You could throw a dart at just about any random Make project, put a little organization into it, and have a fantastic Saturday. Yes, there's plenty of cool stuff to do around Seattle, but if you make Saturday House a gathering worth going to, people will make the time. To that end, here are the projects that I'd like to do over the next few weeks / months. 1) Pummers (http://makezine.com/08/pummer/) 2) Terrarium (http://makezine.com/10/biosphere/) 3) Homemade Recycled Paper (http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Paper) I'm busy the next two weekends, but I'd definitely be up for doing the pummers in late April. I'll follow up with the list in a couple of weeks (after I get back from Virginia). Let me know if these look interesting to you. Saturday House has dwindled before, and it always bounces back, generally with a fresh infusion of new blood. More outreach definitely helps. It hasn't been officially announced yet, but there's an Ignite Seattle coming up at the end of April. That would be a great place to spread the love. -- Justin Martenstein [email protected] --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Website: http://saturdayhouse.org/ Post: [email protected] Unsubscribe: [email protected] -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
