Why not. 
The idea with "-" was that it's very natural for many people to use "-" for
unnumbered list, but "*" is okey too.

Maybe we could have "-" as alias of "*" (or maybe it is a bad idea because
"-" is widely use for many purpose, I don't know)

Hum, wouldn't it be simpler to use
 = adad = to === adad ===

Users ignore that will use from h3 to h6, what they know is that they have 3
level of headers.
Users don't (should not) care about the HTML behind the scenes.  :P
